Program Overview:
"Dinner is Served" is a community initiative designed to address food insecurity within Westchester County, NY. This program, run by Feeding The Sound, provides hot, nutritious meals to low-income families, seniors, children, and veterans twice a month. By distributing meals directly to those in need, we aim to ensure that no one in our community goes without a healthy meal. The program’s goal is to reduce food insecurity, improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, and foster a stronger, more supportive community.
Distribution Schedule & Target Population:
Hot meals will be distributed on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at various community locations throughout Westchester County. The program targets seniors, children, veterans, and low-income families who are struggling to afford sufficient and nutritious food. In addition to providing meals, we offer information on local resources and support services to help families and individuals facing long-term food insecurity.
